PEO TV preparing for HD launch

Hot on the heels of the upcoming Dialog TV HD launch. Information is being received on SLT preparing for a HD launch, with the signing of a contract for the supply of new set top boxes which are HD capable.

This is indeed good news for the PEO TV subscribers and also for the pay television industry as a whole. A time frame is not available for the launch but it should take place in a couple of months probably during the upcoming festive season. We hope the launch takes place much sooner though.

We wish to urge PEO TV management to allocate the HD channels wisely & price them affordably and not to repeat the blunders of others or make unique blunders of their own.

We also wish to request our fellow bloggers to share information using comments on any issues or progress on PEO TV as the days progress so that we can make this blog the central gathering place for all PEO TV subscribers.

Does PEO TV really expect their long-suffering Customers to pay higher rates to enjoy the problems of 'Pixelation' 'Freezing' and 'Waiting Signal' in HD transmissions ? PEO TV should rectify these technical issues without any further delays.
PEO TV should also take a long hard look at their current Channel line-up. The Indian-feed Channels with their numerous advertisements must be replaced with the Asian-feeds even at a higher rate. It is a basic right of a Cable TV Subscriber to have access to advertisement-free channels for which he is paying good money.

I was surprised to see the prompt on my tv to select from NTSC, 1080 and 1080i and some other options. I just couldn't believe because I always wanted to make use of my HDTV.

However I chose 1080i but it didn't make a difference. They must be testing it, I guess.
