We are receiving complaints from many PEO TV subscribers about the poorly designed logo that sits on the television screen. Now PEO can argue that mostly all DTH operators and IPTV operators have logo's on screen to prevent piracy but the placement of the logo is of utmost importance. Dish TV India has a small translucent logo on the bottom right hand corner. Even Dialog TV has a small translucent logo on the bottom right hand corner. However it looks like PEO logo is just too distracting. PEO should take steps to redesign the logo and place it in a proper or take off the logo all together.
In addition we are getting complaints of texts being scrolled during television programmes and we hope PEO refrains from such activity. If they want to earn some extra money by inserting a few advertisements which will enable them to turn a profit and reduce rental then please go ahead and do it but not at the viewers expense. These should be done with no affect on the viewing experience. If PEO is not sure then they should not do it unless they get things right.
The STB getting stuck issue and lack of channel choices still exist on PEO. We urge the subscribers to approach PEO TV by calling them or visit their offices and pressurise them to address their grievances because this is pay television and people cannot be pushed around like in FTA television.

I really appreciate that you highlight one of the key problems we are facing as PEO TV subscribers. We subscribed to PEO TV because we believe SLT Visioncom would do a better job that DTV. In my case, I shifted from DTV to PEO and I know there are more who have taken the same route. We cannot tolerate this kind of nonsense anymore and this time we need to see this through one way or the other.
What a joke it is that they invite us to their platform and try to impose restrictions. I guess this practice is in their facebook wall too. I don’t know for sure as I never write there. So that is their little game to stop us from talking and keep their own management blind! I promise that will not work, not this time.

what Deshal saying is 100% correct... PEO guys ( if they really are ) have been silent for a long time....
Seems these ones are trying to the PEO customers for a ride... We are paying for everything on PEO and still these ones cannot improve the service or give value to what we pay..
it should be appreciated that new channels were brought in but once again they were too costly and it was clearly pointed out many a time.....
i myself fall into the category of Deshal, where I switched from DTV to PEO and I start to feel whether I did a big big mistake even though PEO is new technology and all that...
DTV introduced Vasantham TV as soon as it was launched and from yesterday DTV has launched the test transmission of SIYATHA TV, the newest FTA channel in the island...
HAS PEO BROUGHT IN VASANTHAM TV ATLEAST ?????? if this has not been done how can we expect PEO to introduce the basic international channels even....

To me it looks like that people are giving up working with the PEO TV. That’s why there are not much people taking the initiative to write or vote. I think that we should stand up and fight before giving up. These guys would be more than happy if we would give up our fight.
What I understand is that SLT Visioncom does not have a vision on what their customers need. Other vice will they ever place that ugly logo on the TV screen and cut us off from writing negative comments in their platform which they invited us?
Let’s formulate text. I think we know all the issues all of us have. Let’s compile everything in simple and orderly manner (I will publish a draft by Monday and get everybody’s comments). I will find the email of the chairman. Let’s send the finalized email to the chairman directly. BTW, we should create an email address for this purpose I think.
If that does not bring any positive results, well, we will see what we can do. There are plenty of things to be done anyway! Jokers at SLT Visioncom should realize that the customers are not “Mee Harak” to accept everything they do and pay for it.

if we go through the ceo FAQ published few months ago.. there vision is not to bring any new channels. as for his we are happy with current channel lineup (so keeping management blind with real deal working out perfect as he has no clue what we want) and he think bringing internet to TV set is most important thing with peoTV .. well change the name to PEOInternet :D

I saw two TV icons added to channel lineup. Wonder if these guys are planning to add more channels.
The logo is still on and I assure to those who inserted that ugly thing that we will not stop until it is out.

Yes, they have reduced the size of the logo. However, these sorts of simple things should be figured out by PEOTV themselves rather than allowing customers to protest like this. Anyway, we appreciate them listening to us customers at least (unlike DTV).
The size of the logo is acceptable. If they can make the logo translucent, it is even better.
Now, PEO should concentrate on more important things such as adding new channels and getting VOD up and running. Their PEO Theater initiative is worthless as it is just a new name for existing feature. These moves don't add value. Introducing new movies under the PEO theater does. Introducing new channels does and that's the way to go.
I`m totally agree with Deshal.He is allways right.I appreciated PEO TV undastanding our idea. Now they have(PEO TV) to do very important development on there service.first,develop STB loading time (now we waitting more time untill loading the STB) and software upgrade.second develop picture quality (Like DVD) and adding new FREE Channels like that AXN,CINEMAX ect;

ESPN has been introduced to the line up.... It is available for Rs. 125/- per month which is the same as Star Sports and Star Cricket....
Also, there is a bundled package introduced where STAR CRICKET , STAR SPORTS & ESPN, all the channels will be Rs. 300/- only if ordered together, where as, if these channels will cost Rs. 125/- each if ordered individually...
This can be found in the Al-a-Carte ordering menu,where there is a title "Star Cricket, Star Sports and ESPN " all together in the second page...
it seems that peo is ill-treating the Rs. 1000/- package holders by not introducing any new channel to their line up and bringing in more cost+ channels to the line up.. peo should understand that these customers who have the Rs. 1000/- package are the people who helped Peo lift its head in the market... and now peo has forgotten these customers and giving promos and all to the new sign ups, etc....
If you deactivate channels in PeoTV please be careful cause it may show as if the channel is deactivated from your set-top box, but is Not in their system. I deactivated HBO in July but was charged for it in August... i complained and they said they'd fix it but I was charged again for September (maybe cause i complained in September and the system still had HBO activated). Ofcause they say they'd deduct those and i'd hear from them in writing within 2 weeks.. but i dint hear from them yet.
So be careful when you deactivate. call 1242 and check has it been really deactivated.
ya i had same thing with stemax and sony.. i deactivated but they still keeping charring me.. later said will reduce from monthly bill but never happen.. i let it go as its just 100/=
PEO TV seems dome some software updates is setup box, causing it to stuck all the time... i have to restart the box time to time in order to access the menu etc...

PEO TV has done a very attractive program schedule and I really appreciate that. The schedule is well designed. However, the program guide is not complete and also it could be linked to the guide icon on the channels menu too. Lack of a proper electronic guide was an issue and I guess this sort it out. I hope PEO would maintain it properly.
However, while we appreciate all these stuff, still you could not tell us on any new channel additions. Long overdue channels are Cartoon Network (and Boomerang), AXN, Cinemax, and Animal Planet. These are channels with high demand but still not on offer by PEO TV. Adding these channels will definitely help PEO to expand the viewer base. Guys, let’s get this done fast.
VoD is sadly still on the same pathetic state as it was before. This is a great revenue opportunity forgone for PEO. I just do not understand why PEO is not working on this area fast enough. Get some good Sinhalese, Tamil and English movies in here. I know that it might be hard to get Hollywood movies but you can always get good European movies as a start. However, popular movies are a must here and add few and see want the demand would look like. On the other hand, this will be a good marketing tool against competition too. So guys, DO IT!
Also, why would not PEO take the advantage of additional revenue opportunities? PEO has given the basic infrastructure. Now let customers pay additionally and upgrade their set top box etc to higher or better ones with added features i.e. HD channel reception, 1080p upscalling etc.
I can think a lot of things that you guys can do. I know it is easier to think than doing it and I am sure that you guys are doing your best to initiate a lot of things. I really wish that you guys would turn most of these things into reality.

vijay TV which was on channel 43 has gone missing whereas vasantham TV has been put in place at channel 43. this has been since around 8pm today.!!!
common guys!! this is insane!! vijay was da only indian tamil channel they gave us and nw they have removed dat also and put up a local channel good for nothing except govt crap in place!!! sumthing shud b done abt this!!

Dear Admin, Shall we talk about the PEO TV local channel LINE UP and PICTURE QUALITY. I think all local channels PICTURE QUALITY IS VERY POOR. ( Weak )

--- I do agree with the fact that Star Vijay was the only Tamil channel with good programs around and replacing it with Vasantham TV was a VERY BAD MOVE...
Vasantham TV is a local channel and there is no way that PEO could replace Star Vijay with a local channel and Vasantham is still in its intro stage not having a proper line up of channels... PEO should bring back Star Vijay to the line up, if not it is a great injust that PEO has done by bringing in Vasantham.....
From 6.00 pm this evening STAR WORLD has been enabled with TSTV feature...
this seems to be a very cunning marketing trick played by PEO..by enabling the TSTV facility to a channel like SW ( which costs 50/-) it seems that PEO is trying to push people into activating SW.
I do not know about the popularity ( viewing numbers ) of SW on PEO but this move seems to increase the demand for SW on PEO...

India and Sri Lanka tour is going on and the peo tv is not giving the coverage. When there is a match Eye(Netra) channel is replace by the rupavahini channel. When i call to the customer care they telling it is technical problem. When the match is over they bring the eye channel back.
If there is an legal issue they should have to tell it to customer.Don't lie to customer saying its a technical error etc.
Also vijay tv is replaced by the Vasantham TV. when we are subscribe to the system we agreed on a channel line up. How could it change!!!
Actually customer should complain to TRC of sri lanka. This is cheating...

and i had a same billing problem with HBO. so i call 1243 (Peotv) then they told me to call ther billing section , so i did. there is a lady after i told my problem to here she ask me "Is my ADSL is working ? (" #$^%@# OMG i hate SLT customer service.)
is there's a way towatch peotv (or any other iptv) using the computer, without using the "peotv box"?
